THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS WORSHIP

Special Christmas Worship
You are invited to the following special gatherings this holiday season at Christ Covenant. Remember, these events are For EveryONE!

12/24  5:30pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
12/25  DIY Family Service at Home
         - NO SERVICES 01/01 @ BUILDING
01/01  10:00am New Years Day Brunch Worship
12/25  DIY FAMILY SERVICE @ Home
Merry Christmas! This morning we invite you and yours to pause for a brief time of worship, for Christ our Savior is born!
Before you begin, assemble some basic elements for communion. Obviously crackers and grape juice would be ideal, but feel free to substitute as needed.
Whether you gather around your tree, your table or your TV begin with a time of prayer thanking God for our Savior, your family and our church. Give each member of your family the opportunity to offer a brief prayer that begins with this simple starter: “Lord Jesus, today as we celebrate your life… I celebrate your ________________________.” Fill in the blank with some aspect of Jesus life, death, resurrection or reign that you celebrate today.
Continue worship with a Christmas Carol like “O Come All Ye Faithful” or your own family favorite. If you prefer, use a song from YouTube like “Mary and Joseph” by Chris Renzema. https://youtu.be/km40ZSsgHU4
Gather around you phone, computer or YouTube connected TV for a couple of 5 minute messages from Christ Covenant. https://youtu.be/2B4R2bKaxxw
Now take a moment to remind those gathered of the purpose of communion. Perhaps read 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 where Paul explains the Lord’s Supper. Paul points out that Jesus began by giving thanks. Give those around you an opportunity to express their gratitude to the Lord either out loud or silently before taking communion together.
Close your family worship time with another family favorite Christmas Carol or if you prefer something on YouTube like Saddleback’s Campfire Christmas. https://youtu.be/11d8okBFo2Y
We hope and pray this day you and your family find what you need in that manger. Find the the great joy, perfect peace, sacrificial love and hope eternal in the life, death, resurrection and eternal reign of King Jesus!
BONUS:  Put together a couple of plates of Christmas goodies, put on some warm clothes and share some cookies and carols with a couple of neighbors or friends.
01/01/23 10:00AM  BRUNCH WORSHIPWe look forward to worshipping with you next Sunday, 10:00 AM, New Year's Day. Let’s welcome in the new year with worship! Join us for worship, Brunch Style. Bring your favorite Brunch item with enough to share. We will fellowship around the tables, worship, pray and begin the our year with a New Year's challenge from Scripture.
